Purpose of Economic Restructuring Committee

The job of the Economic Restructuring Committee is to identify new market opportunities for the Municipal Service Tax District (MSTD) by finding new use for historic commercial buildings and stimulate investment in property.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Promote the downtown as a good place for business
  2. Assist the committee chair to prepare an annual plan of work for the committee.
  3. Identify ways to help strengthen existing businesses.
  4. Recruit complementary businesses to fill building vacancies
  5. Identify ways to develop underutilized space in the ADDC service area.
  6. Maintain a building inventory.
  7. Build relationships with other organizations who share an economic development focus.
  8. Monitor sales leakage
