A cherished holiday tradition in Albemarle, NC, the Holiday Tour of Homes, a fundraiser hosted by Albemarle Downtown Development Corporation (ADDC), gives an exclusive look at some of the most festively decorated homes in Albemarle. Mark your calendars for Saturday, November 22, from 4 PM to 7 PM for the 2025 Tour.​

This year's Tour features nine exciting tour sites. Early Bird Tickets are $15 if purchased Between October 20 - November 3, and Advanced Tickets are available from November 4 - November 21 for $20.

What is a sensory lab? A sensory lab is a quiet area with audio, visual, and tactile equipment to help develop motor skills and sensory processing.

Discover our range of sensory products, including fiber optic lights, bubble tubes, projectors, and more. Sensory labs are open to everyone and all ages!

Private sessions are 15 minute blocks that are reserved for groups and individuals. There are limited spaces available per lab day, so please call 704-986-3763 for session availability.

You are invited to join us for a Christmas Crafting Class! In this class we will be making paper bag snowflakes and tiny yarn hats. This is an adult crafting class, beginner friendly, and is suitable for ages 16+. All supplies will be provided. An Albemarle Downtown Christmas is this Friday, December 6! Celebrate the holiday season with fun for the entire family from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The festivities kick off with the lighting of the Christmas tree at City Hall at 5:30 p.m. Bring your family and friends to enjoy exciting activities for kids, including hayrides, face painting, crafts, and, of course, a visit with Santa at Courthouse Square Park!

Plus, enjoy delicious food trucks, unique street vendors, and special extended hours at our local downtown shops—making it the perfect night for holiday shopping and fun!

Run/walk group meets weekly on Thursdays at Uwharrie Brewing at 5:30pm. New runners get a free beverage.
