Stanly County Veterans Group is proud to continue and host our 2nd Annual monthly Veteran’s Luncheon, a time to honor, celebrate, and break bread with those who have given so much for our country. Each month, 6 to 9 special Veteran guests from local independent and assisted living facilities will be treated to a meal, fellowship, and appreciation from our community.
Open to All Veterans & the Public! We invite all Veterans and the general public to attend!
Veterans outside our sponsored guest list can join us for a special lunch menu, with reduced pricing, making this an incredible opportunity for camaraderie and connection.

Wool Needle Felting 3D Pumpkins Demonstration
Join us for our FREE 'Sunday with Art' event for August! This event is open to the public and no reservation is required. Our gift shop will be open at this time as well
Huntersville Artist Lynn Cavanaugh will demonstrate the fun process of creating 3D felted pumpkins. Needle felting involves a special
felting needle used to stab and agitate wool fibers so they join and bond together. Lynn will demonstrate how to create felted pumpkin shapes, both with and without a face. She will have materials available for several people to make a shape along with her.

Wagfest
Calling all animal lovers on Saturday, September 26 from 2 PM - 8 PM at Market Station, 501 West Main St.! There will be food trucks, vendors, live music, photo opportunities, and of course ADOPTION EVENTS! And best of all, all proceeds benefit the Stanly County Humane Society.

Murder Mystery Game
Join us on a quest through Downtown Albemarle as we visit shops, talk to establishment owners, and discover the identity of Albemarle’s Most Wanted person!! You don’t want to miss this!
Tickets are required to participate and will be available for purchase soon! Adults over the age of 21 will be provided beverages along the way to help them sleuth out the killer. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the local arts.

Albemarle Stage and Story
In partnership with the Uwharrie Players, the Stanly County Library presents Stage & Story every 2nd Saturday of the month from 11:30-12:15. This interactive workshop for kids ages 6-11 explores the basics of theater through acting games, imagination exercises, and beginner theater skills.
