The 2024-25 fiscal year brought growth to downtown Albemarle, with $9,55,533 in public investment, $5,327,104 in private investment, 6 business expansions, 20 facade improvements, and 10 net jobs gained.

Grants Available for Downtown Businesses

​Did you know? 

Albemarle Downtown offers three grants to small businesses and organizations in downtown Albemarle. Whether you'd like to add planters, a new sign, or update your facade, grants are available to assist with your enhancing your business or property! Applications are open year-round. Interested applicants must be located within the Municipal Service District (MSD) , Central Business District (CBD), or City of Albemarle Historic District (COA HD) be eligible. The City of Albemarle's Catalyst Grant also assists business owners with larger projects in downtown Albemarle, up to $50,000.
