Summertime Sip Festival

Sip, stroll, and savor fine wine and craft beverages at the Summertime Sip Festival on May 30 in downtown Albemarle! Featuring North Carolina wineries, craft beverages, food trucks, artisans, music, and more! All proceeds support Albemarle Downtown's mission of downtown beautification and small business grants.

Uwharrie Players present, Barefoot in the Park

Get ready for an afternoon of laughter, romance, and a few flights of stairs. We can’t wait to share this hilarious journey with you!

The Uwharrie Reader’s Theatre is The Uwharrie Players new program to give an easy way for new people to get involved, but also a fun way for regular UP members to get another way to perform. These will be free performances!

The Uwharrie Reader’s Theatre will also provide a chance to do some possibly more edgy plays and try out new plays before they go to the main stage with The Uwharrie Players.

Music Bingo

Join us for another night of Music Bingo at Uwharrie Brewing. Grab your friends and family and test your music knowledge. It's free to play, all ages are welcome, and the winner of each round gets a prize! Four rounds will be played, with the 4th round being a cover-all and a larger prize!​

Thursday Concerts at the Station

Enjoy free live music in Downtown Albemarle every Thursday during the months of May and June at Market Station during Albemarle Parks and Recreation's Thursdays at the Station concert series.

The first concert will be Thursday, May 7, at 7:30 pm as the Stanly County Concert Band performs.

Senior Living Residents Show

This showcase is presented by the Stanly Arts Guild, 152 W. Main Street. 

Starting on Wednesday, June 17 - July 3rd

COME OUT AND SUPPORT THESE LIFELONG ARTISTS!

This show started in 2019 when they hosted their first local senior art show with Trinity Place, a local Home for Senior Living. Some of the artwork was created by residents in their 90’s! Studies show that seniors who participate in art programs have improved health, well-being, and independence. We enjoy showcasing these artists in Senior Care Facilities.

Wagfest

Calling all animal lovers on Saturday, September 26 from 2 PM - 8 PM at Market Station, 501 West Main St.! There will be food trucks, vendors, live music, photo opportunities, and of course ADOPTION EVENTS! And best of all, all proceeds benefit the Stanly County Humane Society.

Albemarle Stage and Story

In partnership with the Uwharrie Players, the Stanly County Library presents Stage & Story every 2nd Saturday of the month from 11:30-12:15. This interactive workshop for kids ages 6-11 explores the basics of theater through acting games, imagination exercises, and beginner theater skills. 

Badin Brews Karaoke Night 

Come out every Thursday and enjoy the best night in downtown Albemarle at Badin Brews. We have craft beer, wine, a full liquor bar, and a food truck. Serenade the bartenders while they work! Karaoke with Vince starts at 7pm!

Uwharrie Brewing Running Club

Run/walk group meets weekly on Thursdays at Uwharrie Brewing at 5:30pm. New runners get a free beverage. 

Coffee & Conversations

Every other Wednesday from 9:00AM to 12:00 PM at Second Street Sundries.

Indivisible Uwharrie hosts a community meet-up to connect about what's happening locally, share concerts, swap ideas and build relationships.
