The Market
Station is a beautiful example of how the past is meeting the future
in Albemarle. Once a vibrant part of life in Albemarle, the train
depot had become dormant and unused for many years.
Choosing to
embrace the rich tradition and beautiful potential at the depot,
the Albemarle Downtown Development Corporation transformed the location
into the Market Station, adding another beautiful location to historic downtown Albemarle.
